Record Store Day
This is my first year to celebrate record store day with my very own beautiful record player.
I have a huge passion for music as I'm sure many people do, but I really do love it! :)
I love the melodies, the harmonies, the voices that come with music, I love the lyrics, the heartfelt meanings and the storytelling that comes with music but most of all I love how personal it is and yet communal too.
An artist can write a song and own it and it's theirs- their personal song! Then, it gets transformed the minute someone else hears it- it becomes the listener's song!
Music is personal for me; songs can mean so many things to me, for some songs the lyrics feel so personal it's as if I've written them myself. Music evokes emotions, feelings and memories. It is powerful. Music and songs can reveal a lot, it can be an insight into a person and that's why I will not show my playlist to anyone hahaa!
but anywho, back to record store day....Vinyl and record players.
I love the pureness and simplicity of a needle on a record playing a wonderful sound. It's so easy to download music these days and to listen to everything at your computer, but nothing beats a record- the case it's in! the artwork it supplies! even the smell of the paper!
Enjoy your records everyone :)

Late night thinking...
It's 3.17 am by my clock and I'm still up feeling... um, I don't know what I'm feeling to be perfectly honest.
We all have different personalities,
different worries, insecurities and fears,
different strengths, hopes and wishes;
we are all very different.
We deal with our different worries, insecurities and fears differently. We cope differently, we think differently, we act differently; we are different.
hahaa how many times have I said the word different?
Although that is what we all are: DIFFERENT ! it's always nice and even comforting when you realize someone may share a worry of yours, someone may have the same problem as you and someone may feel the same way as you do. Then with this you can talk and talk about these things you share and instantly feel better with the satisfaction in knowing you are not so different after all.
I always remember feeling like the only person in the world who had a particular concern and worry and thinking that it was just me made me feel worse because I felt being different meant that it was MY problem, inflicted by ME and only I could do anything about it, but just knowing that someone is in the same position makes you feel you are not alone and things will get better or maybe you will get stronger.
I'm feeling a little alone with my problems right now, I don't know anyone who is like me and has the same problem, but I take comfort in the faith that I am most likely not alone. There is probably one, or two or even more feeling exactly the same way as I do right now and I'm sure we'll all grow stronger one day. It might take baby steps and you may get knocked back a few steps from time to time but you'll take some more steps again and keep moving forward.
