Return to Sender...

I recently walked past a beautiful little shop and staring back was this beautiful bag
I love it the only thing is it's too beautiful to use as an ordinary bag so I decided I'd appreciate what I liked most about the bag and use it to create a piece of art. Coincidentally,  it also tied in with http://inspiration-avenue-team.blogspot.com/ weekly art challenge 'You've Got Mail'.

so here it is...

  1. Thanks so much for your submission to my mail challenge. I love the airmail envelope, I just love all the little red and blue hash marks around airmail envies. The red bow, reminiscent of the bow on the purse is just a wonderful accent. Terrific piece!

  2. Those magical air mail envelopes were so special when I was growing up... It used to mean a letter from my Aunt who lives in East Africa... such excitement seeing that envelope waiting for me when i got home from school, now of course we text each other... not as much fun though... great interpretation xx

    1. I agree a text or an email will never be the same as receiving a letter in the post and opening it with excitement! I really enjoyed the 'you've got mail' challenge and it definitely makes me want to send more letters :)
